Measure Compression Strength of Copy Paper Boxes

Measure Compression Strength of Copy Paper Boxes

Copy paper boxes are stacked in ubiquitous fixtures in corporate offices and office supply stores. The stacking strength is not a major concern as the product, packaged reams of paper constitutes 500 sheets to pack and gives a vertical support. The corrugated board serves to wrap the stack of paper reams and gives a surface for some colorful graphics for marketing. Box Compression Testing Machine is used to test the compression test of corrugated and paper boxes.

Box Compression TesterThe copy paper boxes are usually made of B flute board and have side panels of the bottom tray that contains the stack of paper reams oriented with the board MD in the vertical direction. It causes the boards to fail largely by buckling rather than by compression and buckling. Structural designs and paperboard properties have to be matched to give the required degree of performance from packaging gear all the way through to the customer.

It can be easily noticed that in almost all offices or even in colleges, number of filled copy paper boxes are stacked on the pallet by a photocopier or are placed in an office corner. These stacks will drapes with as the time passes and create an axial load on the boxes. Usually this type of boxes are designed using B flute board and during stacking, the side panels of the bottom tray that have paper stack are oriented with the board MD in the vertical direction. Due to this, a buckling is created that causes product failure.

To assure a damage-free environment of the products inside the boxes, it is important to measure the stacking strength. It is measured by keeping the box on a flat platform and moving it in downward direction from the top with the help of motorized arrangement.

Box Compression Tester-Digital by Pacorr is an accurate box compression strength checking machine used to measure the compression strength of cardboard boxes to resist its deformation at the time of transit loading and storage stacking conditions. It adheres to testing standards of ASTM D642, ASTM D4169, TAPPI T804, ISO 12048, and JIS Z0212. The test measures the yield strength, proportional limit of the boxes and compression strength.

Features:

  • Microprocessor based bright LED display for live test result analyzation and accurate output.
  • Uniform compression force applied during the test for exact calculation.
  • TARE and peak hold facility available with the testing instrument.
  • The over-travel protection provided.
  • Offer a strong base plate with the rugged structure to ensure zero external movements during the test.
  • Equipped with feather touch controls for the advanced user-friendly experience.
