Backer Rod Testing Instruments
Backer rods are round, flexible lengths made up of foam material used as backing in joints or cracks to help control the amount of sealant used in filling joints and fissures. The cracks that are found in tiles and other crevices result in the construction of structures. The backer rods are available in many sizes for optimal fitting to the size of the joint being sealed. They are inserted as filling inside the grooves before builders apply mortar and any other type of sealant on the existing cracks present between the materials.
