How to Use Secure Seal Tester Test Leakage in Bottle Caps

Bottles are used widely in the industries that deal with the packaging of different products such as food products, chemicals, pharmaceutical products and so forth. The reason for such a prevailing use of PET bottles for such applications is that they offer better protection and have higher strength so that the products stay protected while they are being stored or being transported. This is why the manufacturers of the PET bottles need to ensure that the bottles they are manufacturing have the strength can sustain the extreme working conditions that may be faced during their usage. There are several tests that must be performed on the bottles to ensure their strength and quality. One such test is the secure seal test.

Secure Seal TesterThe Secure Seal Test is one of the major quality checks performed in the PET and Preform industry testing laboratories to ensure leak integrity of PET bottle caps. Test procedures are carried out in an extremely standard way to test applications for lids or caps of glass containers and bottles. Highly standardized, high-quality test equipment must be used to perform safe sealing tests on bottles in a very effective manner. Pacorr offers premium quality of safety seal testing machines. The instrument accurately measures the quality of bottle caps and caps according to standard operating procedures. Test method for the safety seal.

Steps to prepare the test sample:

1. To start your experiment, get a sample of the PET bottle you want to test.
2. Place it in the Pacorr bottle chopper and cut the neck of the bottle just below the collar.
3. This gives two parts of the bottle. One has a lid and the other is the whole part of the bottle. The cap part is used as a test piece for the Secure Seal Tester.
4. Now fix the cap on the test piece

How to operate the machine?

1. First, turn on the device by connecting the power socket of the device to the 3-pin 15A socket. Now insert the pressure pipe into the compressed air inlet.
2. Set the timing of the test period in the digital timer.
3. Now pull out the pressure regulator valve to adjust the pressure.
4. After the pressure is installed, remove the pressure hose from the tank.
5. Connect the pressure pipe to the pressure nipple attached to the specimen fixture.
6. Slowly pour water into the test container. The water should be filled to a level where the specimen can easily and completely submerge.
7. Now close the lid of the container.
8. After placing the specimen properly, press the start button.
9. After applying pressure, observe the test piece. If there is no leak in the sample seal, there will be no disturbance in the water and if there is a leak in the sample then air bubbles will form in the water.

This test allows the user to check the quality of the bottle cap for leaks or pinholes. The Pacorr’s Secure Seal Tester is one of the best testing instruments that can be used for ensuring the best sealing capacity of the bottles and ensures better protection of the products inside them.
