Plastic Reels Testing Instruments
A wide range of plastic take up reels to give maximum mechanical and ESD protection to components during transportation & storage. Plastic reels provide a balance of strength and reduced plastic use over many other reel types on the market, while still providing optimal performance for storage, transportation, & feeding of components in tape. Telecommunications industry customers use plastic reels for fibre optic cable, connectors, and conduits. Plastic reels are necessary for the ribbon and tape industries since they can come in so many different sizes. Monofilament fishing lines and medical monofilament for diabetes testing are also wound on plastic reels. The plastic reels consist of plastic flanges and either paper or plastic cores. The flange diameter can range from 6 ½” to 24”. The spiral-wound paper cores we use are produced in-house, so we can make sure the wall thickness is adequate for the customers’ needs.
